How have you supported your

Culture of Peace Today?

"Individual liberty and interdependence are

both essential for life in society."  M. K. Gandhi

What is a culture of peace?

A “Culture” is the sum of the shared attitudes, beliefs, customs, values, and behaviors that, in total, define a society and distinguish one group of people from another.

Peace is not a goal; it is a process. Hence the use of the word “culture” in our name. A culture includes all aspects of the community. Conflict and disagreement are a part of this.

An intention of all members in a culture to act in ways that reflect agreed upon values and behaviors. This is a living practice, not a destination.

Acknowledges that while doing our best, we will make mistakes. We embrace one another's imperfections in support of taking the risks necessary for creating this culture.
