The Compassion Tour, which launched Fall 2014, is a multi-city tour making its way around the United States and Canada. Compassion advocate David H. Breaux will be in Ashland for three weeks, September 26-October 17, 2016. During this time, Mr. Breaux will be facilitating conversations, making presentations, and collecting comments from local citizens interested in

sharing their views and definitions of compassion. David is also available for interviews.

He is currently scheduled to speak at SOU, faith communities, meditation groups, bookstores, and the Ashland Public Library. Other venues and dates will be shared on our websites and social media.

David has written a book, "Compassion: Davis, CA", the result of seven years of community conversations on the topic of compassion. The book is a collection of concepts shared with him during his 6-year presence standing at the same street corner in the city of Davis, CA. During this time spent inviting passers-by to share their written concept of the word compassion, Mr.

Breaux inspired an entire town to reflect upon, embrace and celebrate compassion.

David Breaux's experience in Davis and the impact it had upon many individuals and the community, was the inspiration for The Compassion Tour. David’s presence in towns and cities across the country inspires compassionate actions by individuals and communities that hear and embrace the message of compassion. Overall, the Compassion Tour aims to expand and spread the word of compassion.

Stops on the tour have included Keene Valley, NY; Montreal, Quebec; Burlington, VT; New York, NY; Lodi, NJ; Louisville, KY; Tampa, FL; Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio, TX; Tulsa, OK; Carlsbad, CA; Nashville, TN; Boise,ID; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA.
