The Ashland Culture of Peace Commission was launched with the idea that its overarching mission is education. Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. This is education leading to the discovery and co-creation of a Culture of Peace for ourselves, members of our communities, and people and organizations locally and globally.  

 

There are various methods supporting this level of education and currently ACPC is doing so every other week through articles in the Ashland Daily Tidings newspaper.  In the future an ACPC Editorial Board will be formed to guide expansion of the educational opportunities through additional methods and media.
